The BARBAR ECO 8000 Blow Dryer is the only dryer on the market equipped with an eco-friendly ceramic heating element, as opposed to all standard dryers that have coil heating elements. The difference is the use of electricity & output of EMF (radiation). The ECO 8000 emits 4.1 mG (milligauss) of radiation. A standard 1,800 WATT dryer emits over 200.0 mG. This amount of EMF is comparable to the radiation output of a microwave. The ceramic heating element saves 40% more electricity than a standard dryer and lasts 5x longer than a coil heating element. The ceramic heating element uses 90% electricity, turning it into heat. No energy is wasted. the blow dryer is heavy and the on/off switches are too close to the place where you would actually hold the dryer.

I absolutely LOVE my new blow dryer.  I'd never spent this much on a blow dryer before, but when it was offered as a GMA Deal & Steal, I had to do it...and I'm so glad I did!!!!  It's worth EVERY penny!!!

My CHI ionic dryer just died and I decided to purchase the Barbar Ceramic Eco 8000 dryer because it was on sale and had gotten good reviews. I have very fine, thinning hair and I was stunned at how much thicker and fuller my hair looked after my first use of this dryer. My hair dries quickly and is super shiny and the fullness lasts all day. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this dryer again!

I gave an excellent for rating but I do have a problem with it.  I used the dryer three times and really liked it.  While using it the third time it quit working.  I think it is the motor. I plan to call customer service Monday to see what to do about it.
